Desperate Daring

Somewhere, a black person, no, not That Man, a nobody, just one of those 'Bots, is daring to hope. But because One Woman may be losing hope, because public opinion has attacked her from day one, this hope is being characterized as "schadenfreude," "smugness," "glee."

This black person's hope is "really" schadenfreude, smugness and glee because somebody else, somebody who knows that black person better than s/he knows her/himself, says so. Again.

Because how dare s/he hope for a piece of history that doesn't smell of the Chain and the Lash and the Dogs and the Hose?

Dear Jesus, my Brother, give us the power --and the desire-- to fight the forces that would keep us from seeing each other clearly.

Wow. Talk about completely mischaracterizing what someone says.

We're not even talking about the same thing.

    Wow. Talk about egocentricity.

Why should we be talking about the same thing?

The months from now until November are going to kill us all. I have no more patience with the die-hard supporters either way...but the retarded Clinton campaign blunders and the fact that her supporters cannot see them as such are driving me straight batty. Appealing to racists is NOT supposed to be part of the Democratic playbook. Electoral fraud is not supposed to be part of the Democratic playbook. And being a competent woman playing the gender card whenever you can't kick ass legitimately is the same thing is crying racism when you get caught with your hand in the cookie jar. It absolutely makes it harder for women for whom sexism is a major part of the burden they bear. Not being elected POTUS because you can't run a decent campaign is not sexism, even if some idiot wore a T shirt that is stupid and sexist.
